Our Story

From a real problem to a real solution.

LandCheck started with a simple observation: buying property in Tamil Nadu is unnecessarily dangerous. Government records are scattered across dozens of departments. Advocates take weeks. Brokers have incentives to close deals, not uncover problems.

We built LandCheck to change that — not by replacing lawyers, but by giving buyers the information they need to ask the right questions and make confident decisions. Fast, affordable, and always unbiased.

A problem too close to ignore

The idea emerged from witnessing buyers across Tamil Nadu sign multi-crore deals with no real understanding of the legal risks hidden in their documents.

Technology meets legal rigour

Shree combined his engineering background in cloud and distributed systems with deep knowledge of Tamil Nadu's property registration infrastructure to build LandCheck's automated record-pulling engine.

Shree Vijay is a technologist-turned-founder with a passion for solving structural problems using software. Before LandCheck, he built expertise as an R&D and DevOps engineer.

With this experience, he brings engineering rigour to every product decision at LandCheck. His belief: that transparency and technology together can make India's property market fundamentally fairer.

Shree is also an equity derivatives enthusiast and a vocal advocate for founder communities across Chennai's growing startup ecosystem.
